We are seeking a Web Application Security & Penetration Testing Specialist to assess web applications, identify exploitable weaknesses, and help clients improve their security posture.
In this role, you will:
This is an on-site role based in Al Muharraq, Bahrain. The specialist will work with a digital services team and contribute to security engagements for business clients. Testing must be performed within agreed scope and with documented authorization.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct authorized penetration tests and security assessments of web applications, APIs, and related environments.
- Identify, validate, and prioritize vulnerabilities such as access-control flaws, injection risks, authentication weaknesses, and insecure configurations.
- Use established testing methodologies and security tools to examine application behavior and uncover attack paths.
- Produce clear, evidence-based reports with risk ratings, reproduction steps, and practical remediation guidance.
- Collaborate with developers and client teams to explain findings, support remediation, and verify fixes through retesting.
- Keep current with emerging web threats, testing techniques, and relevant security standards.

What we’re looking for
- Hands-on web application penetration testing and vulnerability assessment experience.
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10, web security testing methodologies, and common application attack patterns.
- Ability to assess authentication, session management, authorization, input validation, APIs, and security configurations.
- Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite or equivalent web testing proxies, plus command-line and browser developer tools.
- Understanding of HTTP/S, cookies, browser behavior, REST APIs, and common web technologies.
- Competence in validating findings, reducing false positives, and prioritizing vulnerabilities by practical risk.
- Strong report writing with concise evidence, reproduction steps, and actionable remediation recommendations.
- Clear communication and collaborative approach when working with developers, clients, and technical teams.
- Commitment to ethical testing, confidentiality, defined scope, and responsible handling of client data.
