You will be responsible for New Product Development/Formulation, Cost Leadership,Support and Value Engineering projects.

As a Scientist, you will have the opportunity to work on New Product Development/ Customisation projects, Continuous product maintenance and improvements , Upscaling batches and co-ordinating with Factories for Value Engineering and Support.
Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:
New Solution/Customisation
Cost leadership working with raw material vendors
Bench marking products against the competition
Supporting Testing requirements for various Customers
Color Management
Troubleshooting and resolving customer complaints.
Travel within the Middle East and Egypt to liase with Factories, Customers and Sales and Marketing
Support all QHSE requirements
Works in line with 9001,14001,18001 and 6S management systems
You will report to the R & D Team Leader.
The position will be based in Bahrain.
We’re looking for an energetic individual, with the ability to learn and a positive attitude.
Our ideal candidate will come from the paint industry, who has previously worked in Research and Development Department of a paint manufacturing company.
Job Specification
ou should also have the following qualifications:
Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
Minimum 4 to 5 years experience in formulating for the Protective Coatings mainly Oil and Gas
Good experience in formulating Protective Coatings
Color Management
Knowledge of Coating Systems for different applications
Knowledge of test methods as per ISO, ASTM and other International Standards
Good analytical ability to solve problems, take decisions and work independently on projects
Good presentation skills
Excellent computer skills
Good command of spoken and written English
Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage
