The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) is seeking applicants for a full-time position in Engineering Management starting Fall term 2021.
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Teach graduate courses in the Master of Science of Engineering Management and engineering and as needed, teach undergraduate courses within his/her expertise in engineering.
- Work independently, take initiative, and innovate in identifying and securing opportunities for development and promotion of the Master Program of Engineering Management at AUBH.
- Support the development and delivery of professional learning and contribute to commercial activities associated with teaching in the Engineering Management program.
- Undertake collaborations with a range of partners and professional bodies/agencies in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in the GCC region, which can serve and benefit from the Master of Engineering Management.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of educational partnerships and international commercial projects as necessary, and participate in occasional activities such as recruitment for the Engineering Management Program.
Requirements
- The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or closely related fields such as Systems Engineering and Engineering Science. Applicant must have expertise in one or more of the following fields: Leadership and Organization, Management Operations, Operations Research and Supply Chain, Management of Technology, New Product Development and Product Engineering, and Engineering Design Management.
- The candidate must have a documented record of a dynamic, high-quality, impactful business for at least five years in the Bahraini professional engineering management community, with evidence of successful leading-edge professional practice/consultancy work. Evidence of effective application of solutions with associated reports or other outputs is required.
- Potential candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to a record of academic teaching or professional and motivational presentations.
