Job Description

The individual in this position provides academic leadership for all aspects of the Master of Arts in Multimedia Management program including strategic planning, admissions, and daily operations and maintains sound relationship with local and regional stakeholders and professional networks.

The Manager should work collaboratively with multiple constituents within AUBH including staff, faculty, program leads, and other units.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Admission and Retention Prospective and Current Students:
    • Lead the revision of applications and making admission decisions for Master of Arts in Multimedia Management program.
    • Create and monitor the execution plan to ensure strong student retention, including consistent touchpoints with new and returning students.
    • Advise current and prospective students regarding admission, registration, course selection, individualized plans of study, and graduation requirements.
  • Academic Program Management:
    • Design, develop, implement, and oversee student professional activities, advising sessions, community engagement opportunities, and other experiences that add to the students’ professional and educational development.
    • Conduct ongoing program needs assessments, evaluations, and student surveys as appropriate, tracking responses and providing regular feedback for continuous program improvement.
  • Course and Enrollment Management:
    • Determine the courses needed annually to support skills development and ensure that students graduate in timely manner.
    • Maintain and utilize enrollment reports to inform decision making and ensure effective delivery of the program.
    • Teach Graduate courses in the Multimedia Management Program and in the Undergraduate Multimedia Design program.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with the business community and other key stakeholders in the local and regional markets.
    • Manage relationships with alumni to keep them connected and engaged, to engage with current students, and to assist with program visibility within their firms.
    • Lead the program team in creating a student experience that supports educational and professional development.
  • Budget Development and Oversight:
    • Administer the program budget and monitor expenditures, including coordination of payments with the finance department.
  • Program Quality Assurance:
    • Develop annual report on program delivery and outcomes and staff and students performance.
    • Coordinate with the institutional research office in matters related to internal audits and external accreditation and quality reviews.
  • Assists in any other duties assigned by Management as and when required.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Candidate must have earned a PhD degree in Multimedia Management or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a similar field.
  • Have previous experience in curriculum/program development.
  • Candidates should have academic and professional expertise in multimedia management; and two or more of the following areas:
    • Design management.
    • Multimedia research.
    • Strategic communication.
    • Animation and motion design.
    • Visual effects design and production.
    • Immersive multimedia production.
    • Entrepreneurship and innovation.

Preferred Experience:

  • Professional experience national and international strongly desired.

Skills and Competencies required:

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with direct reports, peers, leadership, and external constituents, including the business community.
  • Working knowledge of planning and managing budgets, with extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership aligned with AUBH core values of integrity, engagement, excellence, and desire to make a difference.
