Tarabut Gateway (TG) is the first and largest regulated Open Banking platform in the MENA, with offices in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE. TG connects a regional network of banks and FinTechs via a universal application programming interface (API). By offering tools that allow the facilitation and distribution of personalized financial services, TG enables financial institutions to build a new world of financial services in MENA.
From our earliest days, we quickly became the region’s first applicant to a ‘regulatory sandbox’ through the Central Bank of Bahrain.
The clear objective is to build an infrastructure that accelerates an industry transformation. A multisided platform that connects banks, FinTechs, merchants, in the MENA region all on one platform, enabling a new realm of partnerships to be forged.
Fast forward to today, TG is in partnership with the largest banks in many countries. Our products are being built in Bahrain and will be ready to be shipped to other markets. At present we are focusing on scaling up our software engineering and product team to continue to better serve the lives of all 550 million people in the region.
This is the beginning of our journey, and as we see early stage FinTech start to emerge in other jurisdictions, there is no better time than now for the TG Platform to play its part in driving this new realm of financial services in MENA.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be joining our newly established Finance Team who collectively are supporting the MENA region. As a Financial Accountant, you will be the approved finance hire for the Central Bank of Bahrain. You will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate and coherent financial reporting. You will be expected to grow in the role, while our team’s mission is build for exponential growth and delivering an automated future.
As part of our team’s mission, you will be confident to ask questions and seek to understand why just because it was, does not mean it must be. We believe in building scalable, automation first processes which allow our talented people to be set free from the manual elements of their roles so that they can add tremendous value across their function and the business. You’ll need to have strong communication skills to liaise and update relevant stakeholders internally and externally such as the banks and lawyers. We’ll also use data and information gathered to respond to internal queries, needs and financial inquiries. As a team, we will build relationships, and design policies and procedures that streamline processes, create and efficient function and easy to follow.
We’ll need you to prepare the monthly (Pamp;L) profit and loss, and balance sheet reports. You’ll be meticulous and able to prepare compliance reporting to all relevant statutory bodies. Regarding our systems, we’ll rely on you to manage accounting efforts and entries into QuickBooks. Other preparation activities you’ll own will range from (and not limited to) customer billing and follow up payments, Interco and supplier reconciliations, monthly management accounts for the entity (Bahrain) to cash flow statements and controlling expenditure and cash flow. Wider projects you’ll need to support will be year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
With a high attention to detail and using your analysis skills, you’ll be responsible to review and examine financial records for accuracy and audit purposes and raise variations/anomalies and own reconciling financial discrepancies.

- Min 2 years PQE of hands-on financial experience, with increasing responsibility. Eithe
