Tarabut Gateway (TG) is the first and largest regulated Open Banking platform in the MENA, with offices in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE. TG connects a regional network of banks and FinTechs via a universal application programming interface (API). By offering tools that allow the facilitation and distribution of personalized financial services, TG enables financial institutions to build a new world of financial services in MENA.

From our earliest days, we quickly became the region’s first applicant to a ‘regulatory sandbox’ through the Central Bank of Bahrain.

The clear objective is to build an infrastructure that accelerates an industry transformation. A multisided platform that connects banks, FinTechs, merchants, in the MENA region all on one platform, enabling a new realm of partnerships to be forged.

Fast forward to today, TG is in partnership with the largest banks in many countries. Our products are being built in Bahrain and will be ready to be shipped to other markets. At present we are focusing on scaling up our software engineering and product team to continue to better serve the lives of all 550 million people in the region.

This is the beginning of our journey, and as we see early stage FinTech start to emerge in other jurisdictions, there is no better time than now for the TG Platform to play its part in driving this new realm of financial services in MENA.

What you’ll be doing

As our first Operations Associate you will support our Operations Manager in the daily management and support of the business operations. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a variety of tasks and project co-ordination due to business growth, business as usual and special projects.

You'll be confident to ask questions and gather context for daily tasks and administrative projects. You'll be pro-active to spot anomalies or considerations the teams will need when co-ordinating activities. You'll be able to pull reports quickly, and track activities. We'll rely on you to place inventory and supply orders to maintaining online systems and databases around business activities. You'll enjoy working across multiple teams be it Finance, HR, Product to the CEO. You'll be flexible supporting ad-hoc tasks and requests as instructed to support another department. You'll be keen to recommend how we streamline processes and improve collaboration and co-ordination between activities and teams. We'll expect you to regularly liaise with third parties to co-ordinate, update, follow up, information gather or make orders.

You'll be task driven, deadline/timeline sensitive and happy to work in a highly administrative capacity. There'll be the opportunity as we grow to lead on various activities and co-ordination as you demonstrate confidence, attention to detail and independence early on in the role.

Requirements

  • Experienced supporting business operational activities
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced with Excel, including advanced formulas and macros
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experienced working to deadlines and time sensitive projects
  • Experienced analysing documents, reporting, drafting and liaising with third parties for project co-ordination (administration)
  • Experience/qualified in project management (e.g. Prince2) a plus!
