My name is Feras AlMosawi and I am a Bahraini national looking for a challanging and exciting opportunity in an established firm. For four years, I have attended Florida International University (FIU), where I have graduated with a Masters and Bachelors degree in civil engineering. My commitment to becoming an experieced and well rounded engineer places me in a great positon to become a great resourse for any company.
Since December 2019, I have been an employee at Nasser S. AlHajri Corporation (NSH), where my job title is Civil & Planning Engineer. NSH was contracted by the main contractor (TTSJV) to construct 63 buildings in both the brown and green fields of Bapco in the Bapco Modernization Project (BMP). During my time in NSH, I have attended weekly meetings with Bapco and TTSJV representatives to discuss monthly milestones and the current progress of the 3 buildings I am assigned to. My responsibilities included creating and updating 3-week lookahead schedules, generating daily progress reports and communicating the needs of the superintendent to the planning and materials procurement teams. I was also in charge of procuring steel structural material from a Saudi based company for 36 structures, two of which exceed 1500 tons.
During my optional practical training (OPT) in the U.S, I secured a position in Vector Engineering Services, a small growing engineering firm, where my job title was structural & forensic engineer. During my time there, I was assigned to develop structural drawings and perform structural calculations for alterations and remodeling of small to medium sized residential homes. I was also assigned to perform inspections of residential and commercial buildings, where a forensic report followed.
At FIU, I had the pleasure of assisting Dr. Armin Mehrabi on his research project focusing on non-destructive testing methods applicable to health monitoring of accelerated bridge construction closure joints. I also had the opportunity to become a teacher’s assistant in the fundamentals of engineering course, where students are trained to take the FE exam and learn the best strategies to pass the exam.
I would appreciate any opportunity to speak with an established firm to discuss how my experiences and skills will benefit them and the engineering team. I am available for contact anytime during weekdays and weekends. I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing back from you. My contact information is (+973) 39398089 and firasalmosawi@gmail.com.

The Bapco Modernization Programme (BMP) is poised to be one of the largest projects ever undertaken in the history of Bahrain, and for Bapco, this multi-billion dollar venture is the largest capital investment in its 90 year history. The BMP vision is driven by meeting the challenges of the future and leaving a lasting legacy, while its success is expected to have a multiplier effect.
BMP’s objectives are to increase refining capacity, enhance the product slate, improve the energy efficiency, and emerge as one of the most competitive and environmentally compliant refineries in the region. The BMP is essential for Bapco’s long-term sustainability, and provides a sound foundation for realising the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
BMP’s success shall fundamentally be measured in terms of an incident and injury free project as well as by using the standard project metrics of cost and schedule management. In addition, it shall be the integrated BMP facilities starting up smoothly and running reliably until the first major Turnaround and Inspection (T&I) event.
Bapco (Project Owner) and Worley (Project Management Consultant) are fully engaged as an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT). Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), lump sum turnkey contracts has been awarded to TTSJV which is a joint venture between Technip FMC (Italy), Tecnicas Reunidas (TR) (Spain) and Samsung Engineering (South Korea).
The project directorate is in Rome with Operating Centers (OCs) located across Rome, Madrid, Seoul and Bahrain (the work has been split up between the Operating Centers). The overall project is managed from the Bahrain Operating Center (BOC).
